First Post!
And so it begins... the epic adventure into the world of blogging...
Perhaps there is a better title out there for my first post than simply calling it "First Post" (sounds a bit like the "first comment" to be honest) but I've got to start somewhere right? Either way, the adventure begins.
As to what this first post will be about, well that remains to be seen. I'm totally not making it up as I go along, that's for sure... I also definitely have some plans for what the rest of this blog will be about and it will definitely be worth hanging around for.
So, without further ado, the main content of this, the first of many posts to come...
This is a throw back to just a few months ago (November to be exact) when freedom was at my fingertips. I was in Paris roaming the streets, adventure around every corner and endless possibility in the air.
So yeah, not really like that at all at the time. I think it was raining that day and our feet hurt because we'd been walking all over the place and jet-lag was still totally relevant.
The world back in those days was so different from what it is now. Anyhow, there's enough of that going around as it is, so I'll just steer clear. Back to traveling.
It's so much fun. Though somehow, at the time most trips result in misery, exhaustion, stress, and pain (there's usually a lot of pain, just saying). Nothing at all like the flashy travel posters. I often time wonder why anyone really loves it, why I love it, and it all comes down to the memories. Life runs on experiences, both the good, the bad, and the in between and traveling opens the gateway to see the world. Pretty much it's the memories and experiences born out of hobbling through the streets of London at 8 o'clock at night on feet that scream slightly louder with every successive step, missing buses due to a miscalculation in the planning department, and getting lost at pretty much every turn.
It's those memories and the consequent lessons that follow, that I think make it all worth it in the end.
Travel while you can because you never know when you may no longer be able to...
With that I say ado, to you, and you, and you. Until we meet again and so on and so forth.
