Why You Need a Leather Jacket

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

I didn’t make anything.

Don’t get your hopes up.

I just haven’t posted in what feels like ages, and honestly I wasn’t planning on doing anything today. I felt awful when I woke up, I’ve had such a bad cough that my voice is almost gone. What remains sounds strikingly similar to a frog who’s forgotten how to croak. Thusly, I was not planning on going anywhere I would have to talk to anyone today.

Until I decided to make pizza.

At which point I realized I was out of cheese.

Now, it’s just my personal opinion but cheese is a fairly essential part of pizza.

Determined to get cheese from the store to complete my culinary masterpiece, I threw on some clothes. It being St. Patrick’s Day and the only green thing I had being a scarf I grabbed that. I then grabbed this leather jacket I was given last night at a dance. I was so impressed with this outfit that I wasted about 20 minutes doing a little photo shoot with my green plants next to my green wall.

To the man who said I could be a model; I think these photos will prove that that would not be a great career path for me.

Then I went to the store and found out just how fantastic this leather jacket was. Here are the reasons you need a leather jacket:

  1. It makes you feel like you’re in a biker gang or maybe have a distant family member who thought about joining a biker gang.

  2. They’re surprisingly warm.

  3. If you consider yourself too good for a shopping cart/basket at the store, go in determined to only buy the one thing you came in for, or just feel sure you’ll be capable of carrying all your purchases in your arms, then you could benefit from a leather jacket. Seriously, nothing slips or moves. You can stack three bottles of kombucha in your arm and never have to worry about them slipping or going anywhere. It works with all other groceries too.

  4. If your jacket has a removable faux fur collar you can walk around feeling quite wealthy and refined. Maybe high prices won’t even startle you anymore. Maybe.

  5. Any leather jacket is a great conversation starter. People love to ask why you have things and thanks to this list you’ll be able to tell them exactly why you’re leather jacket is the best thing ever.

That’s all. Hope you’ve enjoyed this short soliloquy about my new leather (I don’t think it’s even real leather) jacket.

P.S. I would love some ideas for projects or things to sew. Currently the only request I have is making a Spiderman suit, which I don’t feel quite qualified to make yet. Other suggestions are greatly welcomed.

Bye. 🍀
